On February 15, 2019, President Li Xiaolin of the China Friendship Association met and hosted Mr. Kontaos, Vice-Chairman of the Greek-Chinese Friendship Association and Vice-Chairman of the Euro-China Development Research Center (ECCRD) in Beijing.

President Li spoke highly of the efforts and contributions made by the Greek-Chinese Friendship Association and Mr. Kontos to the friendly exchanges between the two countries over the years. He hoped that the two sides would further strengthen pragmatic cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.

KonTos thanked the China Friendship Association for its long-term support and assistance to the work of Greece-China Friendship Association. He said that both China and Greece are ancient civilizations and profound traditional friendship. In today's complex international situation, the Greek-Chinese Friendship Association is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with us, advance friendly exchanges in various fields and enhance friendship between the two peoples.
