On Oct 10, 2003, the franco-chinese economic and trade investment fair was held in Paris, France.

The symposium is sponsored by the national federation of small and medium-sized enterprises, ECCRD and the China council for the promotion of international trade, and Co-organized by the Chinese people's association for friendship with foreign countries (CPAFFC).

The conference has received strong support from the Chinese ambassador to France, the French bureau of foreign trade and economic relations and the French national advisory council on foreign trade.

The purpose of the meeting is to coincide with the launch of the China-France Cultural Year, welcome the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France, and further promote the mutual understanding, exchanges and cooperation between China and France, especially between small and medium-sized enterprises.Chen haosu, President of the CPAFFC who led a local goverment Chinese delegation to the fair.
