On March 3, 2017, Ms. Amalia Matiatou, Honorary Chairman of the Euro-China Development Research Center and First Vice-Chairperson of the Greek-Chinese Friendship Association, was invited to attend the Chinese Embassy in Greece’s New Year reception.

Ambassador to Greece, Zou Xiaoli, made a speech, in which he praised Chairman Madiatou as the soul of the annual event. Ambassador Zou pays tribute to all those who have worked hard for years of friendship and cooperation between our two great nations, China and Greece.

At the end of his speech, Ambassador Zou quoted Chinese President Xi Jinping as saying in his new Year's address: "Let us roll up our sleeves and redouble our efforts to create a better future."
