In December 2016, Vice President Gondos was awarded the "Chinese People's Friendship Contribution Award". Vice President Song Jingwu of China Friendship Association and Chinese Ambassador to Greece Zou Xiaoli presented the award. Seven Greek friends were awarded the

"Chinese People's Friendship Ambassador" and "Chinese People's Friendship Contribution Award" . ECCRD occupies three seats. They are:

Amalia Matiadu was honored with the “Chinese people’s friendship contribution award”.

Stavros Nikolakopoulos, Stavros Nikolakopoulos, was honored with the "Ambassador of Friendship of the Chinese People".

Lefteris Kontos was honored with the “Chinese people’s friendship contribution award”.

In addition, Greece awarded the “Greek Cultural Contribution Award” to Mr. Li Chenggui, ECCRD’s Senior Chinese Adviser.
